Special mechanism, once with punched cards applied to the looms for controlling the movement of each warp yarn, producing very complex weaves and patterns.This term generically refers to fabrics made on looms provided with jacquard mechanisms, having elaborate patterns in the most varied of weaves, such as damsks, brocades and other fabrics for furnishings and clothing. →
